About the Role

Adele Carr Recruitment - Business Support is delighted to be supporting a growing, mid-sized enterprise on the Wirral, who are keen to appoint a Commercial Management Accountant to their expanding team.

This newly created role will bring much-needed financial analysis and support to the Finance Director and Board. The successful new appointment will join the team and take full ownership of producing management accounts with variance analysis, designing and creating a new board pack with full commentary and analysis.

This is a diverse role requiring a switched-on, fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with a proven, mid-sized enterprise background, who can adapt to various workloads and get tasks done.

The ideal applicant will be a solid all-rounder who is familiar with working in the manufacturing sector, working with stock and abstracting data for analysis. You will be a diligent worker with great initiative who is confident and capable working with various stakeholders, including the Managing Director and Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Finance Director with month-end, financial reporting
  • Produce management accounts with commentary and variance analysis
  • Manage month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and work as a business partner with various non-finance budget holders
  • Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Analyze costs and create dashboards and flash reports for monitoring company performance
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes
Requirements

  • A proactive, self-motivated individual who enjoys being 'hands-on' and taking responsibility
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to set deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge of working in a fast-paced, mid-sized enterprise environment
  • Strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with using ERP software, such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Navision
