Construction Cost Manager

Gap Construction is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. As a key member of the main contractor's head office, you will be responsible for surveying duties on residential sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare tender and contract documents in collaboration with the Contracts Manager.
- Conduct cost analysis for ad hoc repair and maintenance project work.
- Support land acquisitions by providing cost information and risk analysis.
- Perform cost control for risk and value management.
- Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
- Develop budgets for all aspects of project construction.
- Allocate orders for work to sub-contractors.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Value completed work and arrange payments.
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Liaise with clients relating to Housing Association matters and attend their meetings.
- Make regular visits to sites to ensure costs are controlled, subcontractors are managed, and quality is upheld.
- Coordinate with the Sales Manager to ensure that appropriate support is given to achieving the company's sales targets.
- Ensure that the delivery and maintenance of the show areas are given appropriate attention in accordance with company standards.
