Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Senior Psychiatrist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Team in Winsford, serving the Central Cheshire area.

This is a replacement position, where the successful candidate will provide psychiatric care to the Vale Royal 0-18 CAMHS team, collaborating with the current part-time consultant.

The consultant will also be part of the on-call rota for Consultant Psychiatrists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, evaluate, and provide professional guidance to junior medical staff, in alignment with the Trust's personnel policies.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to patient care.
  • Accurately document clinical activities and submit reports to the Information Department in a timely manner.
  • Engage in annual performance reviews for consultants.
  • Participate in the Trust's academic programs, including lectures and seminars as part of continuous professional development.
  • Maintain registration with the General Medical Council and adhere to professional conduct standards.
  • Conduct annual job plan reviews with clinical management to adapt to service changes.
  • Collaborate with local managers and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery and contribute to management responsibilities.
