Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant to our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Team.
This is a replacement position. The successful candidate will deliver psychiatric care to the Vale Royal 0-18 CAMHS team and collaborate with the existing part-time consultant.
The consultant will also be involved in the on-call rota for Consultant Psychiatrists.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee, evaluate, and provide professional guidance to junior medical personnel as agreed with consultant peers and the medical director, in line with the Trust's personnel policies.
- Perform administrative tasks related to patient care.
- Accurately document clinical activities and submit reports to the Information Department in a timely manner.
- Engage in annual appraisals for consultants.
- Participate in the Trust's academic programs, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives.
- Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council and comply with professional standards.
- Engage in annual job plan reviews with the clinical manager to adapt the role in response to service changes.
- Collaborate with local managers and colleagues to ensure effective service delivery and contribute to management decisions.

Qualifications- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych
- Additional clinical qualifications.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of eligibility.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Extensive knowledge in the specialty.
- Able to fulfill duties under MHA and MCA.
- Strong clinical skills utilizing a bio-psycho-social approach and broad medical knowledge.
- Diverse specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the role within the NHS or comparable services.
