Helpdesk Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Helpdesk Administrator to join our team at The Business Connection Group. As a Helpdesk Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for customers and will be responsible for providing exceptional support and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and record customer enquiries from multiple sources
  • Provide first-class customer service and support via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Determine responsibility for repair issues and advise customers accordingly
  • Liaise with contractors to provide updates on estimated work commencement dates and ensure all parties are informed
  • Confirm completion of works with contractors and process recharges when required
  • Determine the correct accounting code when processing orders to maintain budget levels
  • Obtain relevant authorisations and communicate with internal departments to maintain inventories
  • Assist in driving contractor performance through feedback on time, cost, and quality assessments
  • Provide general support to the Statutory Compliance Department as required at peak times or absence cover
  • Log and follow through on support required with insurance claims, liaising with stakeholders, contractors, and insurance companies
Requirements:
  • Customer service and telephony experience essential
  • Excel and Outlook skills (including inbox management) essential
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Great organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work to tight timescales
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to cover other departmental tasks or assist as required
  • Good team player
  • Able to manage difficult conversations
