Resettlement Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Resettlement Worker to join our team in Chester. This is a temporary, ongoing role with potential for permanent employment. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, split across three days (Thursday, Friday, and Sunday), with a set shift pattern of 7am to 8pm.
About the RoleAs a Resettlement Worker, you will provide vital support to clients with complex needs who are living in supported accommodation. Your primary goal will be to help them regain independence and sustain a tenancy when moving on from the service.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough needs and risk assessments, collaborating with clients to create support plans with achievable and motivating outcomes.
- Offer practical assistance and guidance on budgeting, life skills, healthcare, nutrition, and welfare benefits/housing applications.
- Ensure swift turnarounds of void properties to maximize income.
- Manage low-level anti-social and challenging behaviors.
- Signpost clients to external agencies and support services for mental health, debt, and substance/alcohol misuse.
- Encourage clients to access and engage with external services within the community to improve wellbeing and employment prospects.
- Attend relevant multi-agency meetings and collaborate with housing providers, community groups, charities, and local authorities.
- Perform routine inspections and room checks, fire safety checks, and report repairs.
- Experience in supporting vulnerable clients within a social housing setting.
- Understanding and experience in conducting risk/need assessments and co-producing support plans.
- Knowledge of the welfare benefits system and Property Pool Plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Weekly pay.
- Option to be paid via PAYE or Umbrella.
- Temp to perm opportunities.
