Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a skilled Resettlement Officer to join our Refugee and Asylum Seeker team. As a Resettlement Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting refugees and asylum seekers to integrate into our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individual support plans for refugees and asylum seekers with complex needs.
- Provide advice, support, and signposting to help them adjust to life in the UK.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- Work closely with other teams to promote community links and integration.
- Experience working with vulnerable people, assessing need, and documenting support.
- Understanding of immigration and refugee resettlement programs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Good knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding policies.
- Flexible approach and ability to work across the borough.
