Job Title: Technical Sales Manager

Are you a motivated and well-organized individual with experience in selling technical products? We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join our team at Kendall Poole Consulting Limited.

About the Role:

The key objective of this role is to grow market share by securing new customers and increasing volume at existing customers. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with target accounts and converting new enquiries into orders
  • Key Account Management of existing customers: retention and account development
  • Visiting existing customers, reapproaching legacy customers, and renewing relationships
  • Communicating at a technical and commercial level when identifying, discussing, and understanding customer requirements and selecting suitable products
  • Devising and presenting proposals to customers, including product demonstrations/evaluations
  • Building long-term customer relationships and gaining repeat business
  • Using digital media and modern channels to grow the business, driving new media and marketing channels, and developing a strategy for social media promoting brand management, positioning, and execution
About You:

We are looking for a motivated, well-organized individual with experience in selling technical products. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An academic background in a Business, Marketing, or Technical related subject
  • Technical B2B sales and digital marketing experience, ideally gained within an SME, with a proven track record of developing novel plans for market penetration and delivering to the commercial/business plan
  • Knowledge of the power or PPE industry sector or analogous field would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proven Technical Sales experience, able to sell solutions, devise proposals, develop profitable business, create strong revenue streams, and build relationships and delight customers
  • A tenacious new business developer, adopting a hunter mentality, able to generate cold, as well as warm leads, and ultimately win new customers
  • An Account Manager, able to re-engage with lapsed customers, build relationships with old and new prospects at all levels
  • Some experience of marketing through multiple communication channels, able to create leads through modern methods of marketing
  • CRM experience is desirable and sophisticated IT skills
  • A tenacious, positive, and determined attitude, a resilient character able to overcome objections
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • An influencer who can easily manage objections
  • Flexibility to plan visits and travel to customer sites
