Job Title: Technical Sales Executive

Join Kendall Poole Consulting Limited as a Technical Sales Executive and take on a challenging role that requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, sales skills, and business acumen.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our sales efforts in the power equipment and PPE products industry. As a Technical Sales Executive, you will be responsible for building relationships with target accounts, converting new enquiries into orders, and identifying new sectors and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Key Account Management: Retention and account development
  • Traditional, customer-facing technical field sales role: Visiting existing customers, reapproaching legacy customers, and renewing relationships
  • Communicating at a technical and commercial level: Identifying, discussing, and understanding customer requirements and selecting suitable products
  • Devise and present proposals to customers: Including product demonstrations/evaluations
  • Build long-term customer relationships: Gaining repeat business
  • Using digital media and modern channels: Grow the business, drive new media and marketing channels, and develop a strategy for social media promoting brand management, positioning, and execution
Requirements:
  • Motivated, well-organized individual with experience in selling technical products
  • Academic achiever in a Business, Marketing, or Technical related subject
  • Technical B2B sales and digital marketing experience ideally gained within an SME, having developed novel plans for market penetration and delivering to the commercial/business plan
  • Knowledge of the power or PPE industry sector or analogous field would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proven Technical Sales experience: Able to sell solutions, devise proposals, develop profitable business, create strong revenue streams, ultimately building relationships and delighting customers
  • Tenacious new business developer: Adopting a hunter mentality, able to generate cold, as well as warm leads, and ultimately win new customers
  • Account Manager: Able to re-engage with lapsed customers, build relationships with old and new prospects at all levels
  • Some experience of marketing through multiple communication channels: Able to create leads through modern methods of marketing
  • CRM experience is desirable and sophisticated IT skills
  • Tenacious, positive, and determined attitude: Required, resilient character able to overcome objections
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Influencer: Able to easily manage objections
  • Flexibility: Required to plan visits and travel to customer sites
