Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Financial Trading Support Specialist to join our Asset Management Business Technology Solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with various financial software applications, including but not limited to BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, DTCC, Morningstar, and Microsoft Excel. The ideal applicant will possess a solid understanding of these platforms, enabling them to troubleshoot issues, resolve technical problems, and deliver training to users as required.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties

Deliver technical assistance for trading applications such as BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, DTCC, Morningstar, LSEG Workspace, AWS, Lipper, BT Turrets, file transfer systems, and Microsoft Excel. Diagnose and resolve issues related to these financial applications promptly. Manage application access and permissions. Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.

Operational Duties

Collaborate with users to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions. Conduct training sessions for users on the effective use of applications. Maintain comprehensive documentation and a knowledge base for troubleshooting and training purposes. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices concerning financial applications. Proactively seek opportunities for automation and improvements in systems, services, or products.

Candidate Profile

Experience Required

Background in Financial Services or Asset Management. Familiarity with trade floor applications. Proven track record in leading a technical area and delivering high-quality, customer-focused IT services.

Technical Skills

Experience supporting platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, Tradeweb, DTCC, Morningstar, and Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of AWS or Azure being advantageous. Relevant certifications in these platforms are preferred. Understanding of financial markets and trading operations. Awareness of the latest digital workplace strategies and Microsoft MMD.

Personal Attributes

Proactive in identifying opportunities for system, service, or product enhancements. Ability to effectively manage unexpected situations and leverage opportunities while overcoming challenges. Strong skills in stakeholder management and engagement, along with excellent communication, analytical, influencing, and facilitation abilities, particularly in problem-solving contexts. Capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
