About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Therapist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychological interventions to individuals and groups, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to mothers and birthing people in the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychological interventions through individual and group approaches, working with mothers and birthing people with significant mental health needs and presentations.
  • Conduct initial assessments and specialized perinatal psychological assessments to identify mental health and psychological needs.
  • Provide psychological advice to other professionals within and external to the service, supporting the development of the perinatal psychology offer.
  • Work collaboratively with the senior psychology team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring timely and effective support for mothers and birthing people.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified and registered member of the relevant accrediting body (HCPC, BACAP, or BACP).
  • Post-training qualifications in trauma, such as EMDR or Trauma-focused CBT, are desirable.
  • Experience working with significant mental health needs and presentations, as well as experience in perinatal mental health and multidisciplinary teams, are essential.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality psychological evidence-based interventions and work with both parents and infants when supporting mental health needs.
