We are excited to announce two openings for a dedicated and proactive Physiotherapist to join our esteemed team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role presents a unique opportunity to enhance clinical expertise in the management of patients within our Stroke service.

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering specialized assessment and treatment for individuals affected by Stroke in both the Acute Stroke unit and Rehabilitation unit. Additionally, the role entails contributing to service enhancement and professional growth, mentoring student placements, and supervising fellow practitioners within the service.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the chance to cultivate clinical skills and knowledge, operational insight, service improvement, and leadership capabilities. We have a well-established program for clinical and managerial supervision, and we expect the successful candidate to take initiative in their personal development while also supporting the growth of others.

We seek an individual with a genuine passion for advancing their skills in this diverse and demanding specialty. Candidates should possess postgraduate experience in Stroke management and an understanding of complex discharge planning and patient-centered rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist

Desirable

  • Evidence of recognized postgraduate training in Stroke and neurology care and rehabilitation

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in delivering clinical treatment for Stroke and Neurology patients
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical cases
  • Experience in a relevant junior role, managing a range of conditions including Stroke and neurology patients, with evidence of additional knowledge gained through formal and informal clinical supervision
