We provide a dynamic and engaging caseload with guidance from an MSK Roadmap supervisor and a team of General Practitioners and Advanced Practitioners.

Our innovative practice, featuring a well-established First Contact MSK team, may present the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

Our Priory Care Access model employs an AI tool to facilitate patient access to our integrated First Contact MSK service through various channels, enhancing patient triage processes.

The role of a Musculoskeletal Specialist Practitioner at Priory Medical Group encompasses:

  • Conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for patients experiencing joint and muscle discomfort
  • Opportunities to pursue independent prescribing certification
  • Opportunities to acquire skills in steroid injection therapy

All our facilities provide both routine and urgent appointments led by General Practitioners and Nurses throughout the week.

Established in 1946, PMG has grown to become one of the largest GP groups in the UK, while maintaining our core values centered around the Family Doctor ethos.

PMG is also a recognized Training Practice, fostering strong connections with the Hull York Medical School and the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery, where we train and mentor numerous new doctors annually.

We offer travel health advice and vaccinations through our PMG nurses (NHS vaccines) and in collaboration with MASTA (private vaccines). Our clinics are staffed by fully qualified and experienced personnel who provide the latest information on travel health.

Additionally, we provide a variety of occupational health services, including private medical assessments.

Job Duties

  • Proficient in triage, delivering exceptional assessment and management plans for a diverse patient demographic
  • Experience in managing a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic
  • Ability to evaluate and support individuals with complex lifestyle and health-related factors
  • Strong understanding of imaging, diagnostic investigations, and laboratory tests
  • Familiarity with accessible community health services
  • Reflective and self-critical, committed to evidence-based practice
  • Open to continuous improvement of care processes
  • Comfortable utilizing information technology
  • Effective time management and clinic organization
  • Passionate about setting new standards in primary care and contributing to transformative initiatives
  • NHS experience (desirable, not mandatory)
  • Competent in Injection Therapy
  • Competent in Independent Prescribing
  • Qualified in Physiotherapy
