About the Role
The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our Urology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth running of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care to patients undergoing urological procedures, including pre-operative assessment, perioperative care, and post-operative management.
- Work closely with medical and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and investigations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure excellent patient experience and satisfaction.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical evidence and best practices in urology, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Level 1) with a postgraduate diploma/degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a surgical or urological setting, with a strong understanding of clinical policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
