Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Specialist - Wheelchair Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist to join our team at Posture and Mobility Group UK. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and service development in our Wheelchair Services department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Clinical Lead and provide advanced clinical skills in the assessment of adults and children, and in the provision of complex wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff to ensure the quality of the clinical service.
  • Drive the quality of frontline services to our service users.
  • Balance experience of supervising a team with a clinical caseload.

Requirements:

  • A BSc degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience of working as an occupational therapist/physiotherapist with patients with long-term or deteriorating medical conditions.
  • Experience of staff supervision.
  • Previous experience of assessing for wheelchairs and/or postural equipment is essential.
  • Current full UK driving licence is essential.
