Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Emergency Call Handlers at the East Ambulance Control Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for answering emergency calls, providing life-saving advice and assistance to callers, and working closely with ambulance crews and other emergency services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer emergency calls and provide prompt and professional assistance to callers
  • Work closely with ambulance crews and other emergency services to prioritize calls and provide effective life support and medical advice
  • Use critical thinking and decision-making skills to prioritize calls and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Communicate effectively with callers and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to type at a minimum of 30 wpm with 90% accuracy
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role or in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
