Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Trainee

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation... Full time
About Our Service

We provide evidence-based psychological interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other NHS-approved modalities. Our treatment approach is delivered over the telephone, in groups via online webinars, face-to-face, and using computerised therapy options as part of a stepped care model.

At Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, we are committed to providing a fully responsive service to everyone who needs it. We strive to be supportive of the people we care for in the community and aim to provide a compassionate and inclusive environment.

Our Clinical Model

We pride ourselves on our clinical model that focuses on delivering high-quality care that consistently exceeds the national recovery standard. Our 4 clinical teams are situated across the county of Gloucestershire, and we employ over 100 therapists who are passionate about improving access to psychological therapies.

Each clinical team includes a Clinical Lead, Team Manager, Psychological Therapists, Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. We offer extensive opportunities for continuous professional development, ensuring practitioners keep their skills and knowledge up to date to adhere to best practice.

What We Offer

We are accountable to local people, rather than to Government, and so we can work closely with our community to develop services in the way that best suits the needs of local people. Our 2023 Staff Survey results showed that people at our Trust feel they work for a compassionate and inclusive organisation.

We are passionate about delivering high-quality care that consistently exceeds the national recovery standard. If you are in a position to commence the PWP training course in March 2025, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further. The qualification, training, and experience requirements for the role are outlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.
