About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Specialty Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases, as well as providing guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Barking & Dagenham.
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior colleagues.
  • Work directly with children and young people and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
  • Be responsible for patients allocated to you and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
  • Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member while working on your own initiative.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a CAMHS setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
