CAMHS Community Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community CAMHS team as an Eating Disorders Specialist. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Havering, and Barking & Dagenham.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
- Work directly with children and young people and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
- Participate in the on-call rota, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata)
- Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member, whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative
- Work alongside other health and social professionals, and agencies, to provide collaborative and comprehensive care
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry, with experience in working with eating disorders. They will be a skilled communicator, able to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as with other healthcare professionals.
