About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community CAMHS team in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with children and young people and their families, and liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current developments in mental health care, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with children and young people and their families
  • Liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota
Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
