Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in a GP surgery, preferably in a receptionist or administrator position. However, all relevant experience will be considered.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the administration and delivery of local enhanced services and other PCN projects that aim to improve health outcomes for patients and enhance the sustainability and resilience of our network practices.

The post holder will work within an established PCN hub team that centralises call-recall functions for network practices and PCN services, administration of online consultations, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of PCN Enhanced Services across the network, including Diabetes and Mental Health.
  • Support achievement against QOF indicators, including childhood immunisations, cervical screening, Asthma, COPD, and more.
  • Contact and respond to patient requests for each network practice by telephone, email, or SMS.
  • Support full utilisation of practice appointments and PCN Enhanced Access appointments.
  • Use a range of IT systems, including the Microsoft package (Outlook, Excel, and Word), EMIS Web, and AccuRx.
  • Provide administrative support for PCN projects and other ad hoc work that enhances the resilience and sustainability of our network practices.
