Job Summary:

Baxter is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining medical equipment supplied by Baxter/Hillrom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair medical equipment distributed by Baxter/Hillrom.
  • Establish and maintain timely customer communications and relationships.
  • Report all relevant service activity and ensure accurate service data in the service system.
  • Maintain and document calibration equipment.
  • Provide technical support for in-bound calls from customers and patients.
  • Maintain technical competence in assigned products through training and development.
  • Support customers, account managers, and engineers as the technical expert for designated product groups.
  • Provide technical feedback into contracts and tender submissions.
  • Review critical metrics regularly and adapt working practices to ensure service levels are maximized.

Requirements:

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent level qualification in a relevant engineering field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organization and prioritization skills.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good technical problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth level of practical experience in the relevant technical/engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in meeting business-critical timeframes and deadlines.
  • Successful experience in managing and engaging with customers.
  • Good IT knowledge, including connectivity, network integration, and software support.

Working Conditions:

  • Participating in 24-hour on-call shifts.
  • Lone-working.
  • Frequent and regular travel within the assigned geographical region.
