Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Microbiology department, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive diagnostic service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake all aspects of microbiology testing, including bacteriology, mycology, serology, and molecular microbiology.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a section of the laboratory, ensuring high-quality results and efficient workflow.
- Authorise reports and contribute to the training of technical, scientific, and medical staff.
- Participate in the department's out-of-hours shift and on-call services, working autonomously and making decisions as required.
- Work flexibly across seven days to support the Trust's 24-hour service.

Requirements:- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- Minimum one year's experience working in a diagnostic microbiology laboratory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
