Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at McCarthy Recruitment. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a retail store team to deliver exceptional customer service, tailoring every aspect of your store to your customer base, anticipating their needs and offering a 'best in class' experience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Develop the Team: Inspire and motivate the team to achieve store targets through coaching, delivering constructive feedback and teamwork.
- Customer Service: Ensure that service standards in store are constantly being offered in line with the company's core values.
- Merchandising and Visual Display: Create window and in-store displays that follow company guidelines but are targeted towards your local customer.
- Commercial Decision Making: Make commercial decisions on stock packages and displays using company reports to drive store sales.
- Brand Development: Monitor the development of the brand through networking, holding customer events and sharing feedback with head office.
- Communication: Communicate company policy and procedures to all team members in a professional manner.
- Confident Leadership: A confident and natural leader who can manage staff performance and support individuals to deliver.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a service-focused fashion retail environment is essential.
- Supervisor or Assistant Manager Experience: Supervisor or Assistant Manager/Keyholder experience and eager to progress.
- People Skills: A people person, naturally confident and have a can-do attitude.
- Punctuality and Reliability: Punctual, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile for staff and customers alike.
- Articulate and Well-Presented: Articulate, well-presented and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of retail achievements.
- Supporting the Store Manager: Experience of supporting the Store Manager in delivering an excellent retail environment.
