Senior Product Manager – Bondaval Risk Underwriting Platform

Location: London

About Us:

At Bondaval, we prioritize character over credentials. As a Series A fintech, we are transforming the landscape of B2B credit. Our backing comes from esteemed European and American venture capitalists, including Dawn Capital, Octopus Ventures, Talis, and Expa.

Founded in 2020, we have quickly established ourselves by serving prominent clients across the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada. Our dynamic team of 35 operates between the UK and the US, with a strong presence in London and New York.

Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for a Senior Product Manager to spearhead the strategy and execution of our risk underwriting platform. Your main objective will be to create a comprehensive, purpose-built platform that facilitates broker submissions, risk assessment, ongoing risk evaluation, and partnerships with insurers.

You will oversee the London-based design and development team, challenging industry norms by leveraging innovative technology to efficiently underwrite substantial deals at scale, aligning with our growth ambitions.

Your role will also involve directing our advanced data science initiatives, utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance decision-making quality, efficiency, and volume.

Collaboration will be key as you work closely with our commercial, risk underwriting, and insurance teams to ensure our platform aligns with our business goals. While initially an individual contributor, the rapid growth of our company will naturally lead to opportunities for team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a product strategy aimed at scaling our underwriting capabilities.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Integrate machine learning and AI to optimize the underwriting process.
  • Work alongside engineering, design, and underwriting teams to develop user-centric solutions.
  • Ensure the Bondaval platform serves as the primary source of truth for all risk and commercial business data.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to guide product enhancements and new features.
  • Prioritize the product backlog to align with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders, including external brokers, insurers, and reinsurers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in product management and underwriting.

You will report to the VP of Product Management while also engaging with the CTO and Chief Underwriting Officer.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1. Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager, particularly in developing products from inception to launch.

2. Experience in creating platforms for enterprise-level businesses that address the needs of diverse user personas.

We value candidates who have been part of organizations that have experienced rapid early-stage growth and navigated various funding phases.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in product management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

A passion for innovation and emerging technology trends.

Benefits:

Competitive salary and performance bonuses.

Comprehensive benefits package.

Opportunities for professional development.

A collaborative work environment.

Flexible working arrangements.

Join Bondaval Limited and contribute to the transformation of trade credit insurance through technology.
