We invite you to become a part of our North-West Infrastructure team as a Project Leader, where you will tackle a range of stimulating and complex projects on both a national and local scale. Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful execution of multi-disciplinary intricate projects within collaborative teams.
  • Provide client-side project management, encompassing stakeholder engagement, health and safety, risk assessment, quality assurance, scheduling, and contract oversight.
  • Ensure projects and assignments meet client expectations regarding quality, budget, and timelines.
  • Support and manage the project team, ensuring adequate resources are allocated to meet client and organizational needs.
  • Effectively manage subcontractors and resources that are not part of the core project team.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
  • Assist in business development initiatives with both existing and prospective clients.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the Built Environment with demonstrated expertise in all facets of Infrastructure Project Management.
  • Familiarity with the NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC). Experience in the role of named NEC ECC Project Manager is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working within an integrated, multi-organization, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Highly driven with an expanding industry network.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, capable of fostering connections with clients, teams, and stakeholders while maintaining a network of business contacts.
  • Able to work independently when necessary, closely collaborating with Senior Project Managers and Associates in project delivery.
  • A team-oriented individual with a proactive attitude, approachable, respectful, and adaptable.
  • Proficient in IT and capable of utilizing contemporary digital tools.
  • Strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of various project types, sizes, and sectors, with the ability to adapt to diverse client requirements.

We are looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience providing comprehensive project management services, including leading meetings, documenting discussions, developing project execution plans, progress reports, and tender documentation. Experience in post-contract management and administration, actively engaging with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring service delivery within agreed parameters.
  • A relevant degree in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or a related field. Alternatively, significant industry experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.
  • Experience in the built environment as a client-side Project Manager (Energy, Aviation, Water, Rail, and/or NEC Project management experience preferred, but not essential).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management, with accreditation highly desirable.
  • A project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2 would be beneficial.
  • Associate membership of a related professional body, preferably chartered (APM, CIOB), would be advantageous.
  • Successful completion of security screening checks may be required.
