Role Description

We are looking for a capable Care Assistant who is enthusiastic about providing exceptional support.

In this position, you will be working 40 hours a week, making a significant impact on the lives of those we support.

This role is within a specialized residential service that accommodates up to 12 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those on the autistic spectrum. The team also assists individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors and have associated mental or physical health requirements. We deliver tailored nursing care and support that promotes independence and community involvement.

Residents have access to various activities, including leisure centers, cinemas, theaters, markets, shops, and cafes. Our team is dedicated to fostering independence by collaborating closely with residents to ensure their preferences, needs, and interests are prioritized. Regular house meetings are held to discuss various topics, from meal planning to social activities.

Daily Responsibilities

- Support management and team members in the daily operations of the service.
- Ensure tasks are assigned effectively and safely.
- Provide enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all individuals in our care.
- Offer guidance and encouragement through both physical and emotional support.
- Understand individual needs and provide assistance in the most suitable manner.
- Assist with medical and welfare needs, reporting as necessary.
