About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team in Scotland. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the psychological care of clients within health and social care services across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Regional Lead Psychologist in the delivery and evaluation of effective services that meet Cygnet Healthcare's objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements, and user and carer needs and expectations.
  • Administer, score, and report on psychometric assessments, standardized risk assessments, clinical formulation, and supervised individual and group interventions.
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve mental health and well-being of clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a psychologically informed environment that promotes long-term recovery and well-being.
Requirements
  • Good degree in Psychology.
  • Further postgraduate training in a relevant area of applied psychology and mental health is desirable.
  • Previous experience of working within mental health services and settings is essential.
  • Previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist and delivering 1:1 therapeutic work and/or group therapy sessions is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
