About the Role

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team in Scotland. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the psychological care of clients within health and social care services across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Lead Psychologist in the delivery and evaluation of effective services that meet Cygnet's Healthcare objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements, and user and carer needs and expectations.
  • Administer, score, and report on psychometric assessments, standardized risk assessments, clinical formulation, and supervised individual and group interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans that promote long-term recovery and improve mental health and well-being of clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care and support to clients.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a clinical or counselling psychology role.
  • Strong understanding of psychological theories and interventions, including risk assessment and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Postgraduate qualification in psychology, such as a Master's or Doctoral degree.
