Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Psychological Therapies to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our psychological therapies services, working closely with senior leaders and clinicians to develop and implement effective strategies for delivering high-quality care. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and visionary leader to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of psychological therapies services, ensuring alignment with NHS Scotland's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and clinicians to design and deliver high-quality care pathways, incorporating the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that support the delivery of high-quality psychological therapies services.

Requirements

  • Doctorate-level qualification in Clinical or Applied Psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Extensive experience working at Consultant level, with a proven track record of leadership and clinical excellence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and problem-solving.
