Property Director

The University of Reading is seeking a Property Director to lead the strategic and operational management of its diverse property portfolio.

About the Role

The Property Director will be responsible for strategic and operational asset management across the University's property portfolio, leading a team that undertakes a broad range of activities including:

  • Land and property transactions
  • Lettings and acquisitions
  • Disposals and asset management

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a senior and strategic role as the lead property professional across a diverse estate portfolio, with:

  • Demonstrable breadth of experience in the property industry
  • Exposure to transactions, asset management, and property management
  • Leadership abilities to manage, develop, and motivate an internal property team
Key Responsibilities

The Property Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive property strategy to optimize the University's estate portfolio
  • Leading a team of property professionals to manage the University's property portfolio, including land and property transactions, lettings, and acquisitions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the University's property portfolio aligns with its strategic objectives
