Position Overview

Element Materials Technology is seeking a dedicated Senior ESG Financial Analyst to become a vital member of our Corporate Planning & Performance Management (P&PM) division, which is an integral part of the Element Group Finance team.

The P&PM division is tasked with overseeing all management reporting and financial planning activities within the organization, as well as managing the systems that facilitate these processes. This team is responsible for preparing comprehensive data, analysis, and insights that empower the Executive team to effectively communicate the Element narrative to the Board and external stakeholders. Additionally, they serve as Finance Business Partners to the Operating Board members who lead our various Functional teams.

Recently, the team has expanded its responsibilities to include all Element ESG Reporting, and we are looking for a Finance Analyst to support this critical function. This role will be essential in coordinating our ESG reporting efforts and liaising with external entities. Furthermore, the position will assist the FP&A team in delivering thorough analysis, consolidating management reports, preparing Board documentation, managing forecasting and budgeting processes, and supporting Investor Relations.

Key Responsibilities:

ESG Reporting and Analysis

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and report on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.
  • Enhance data collection processes across the organization.
  • Generate quarterly ESG KPI reports for the Operating Board and Group Board, ensuring timely production with clear, actionable insights at various organizational levels to inform ESG-related business decisions.
  • Stay updated on evolving ESG frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices, and communicate these to key stakeholders, including requirements for the Group's future sustainability report.
  • Integrate ESG considerations into financial reporting processes.
  • Address inquiries from customers and investors regarding ESG, including compiling data for questionnaires.
  • Complete external ESG assessments and identify areas for improvement, reporting on progress.
  • Assist in the implementation of a global ESG reporting solution.

Corporate Planning & Performance Management

  • Support the month-end closing process, including the preparation of monthly performance reports for the Operating Board and Group Board.
  • Compile and analyze financial data such as Group Revenues, Exceptional Spend, and Capex, working with large datasets to provide insights for strategic initiatives and resource allocation.
  • Respond to inquiries from Senior Management and Investors in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of various forecasts, including Mid-Month forecasts, mid-year forecasts, and Annual Budgets, along with related analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Regional and Business Unit Finance teams within the broader organization, providing support throughout the reporting and planning processes.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Financial qualification: Qualified Accountant.
  • Basic understanding of ESG principles and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) is preferred (Sponsorship for Sustainability Certificate will be provided).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing financial results, trends, KPIs, and ratios.
  • Proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, capable of building productive relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing projects with multiple work streams efficiently.
  • Ability to work across time zones and engage with diverse cultures globally.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required (less than 5% of the time).
  • A genuine passion for sustainability.

Highly Desirable:

  • Post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in ESG reporting and analysis.
  • Background in financial performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in international group and Private Equity environments.

Software Proficiency:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in ESG Reporting and/or Carbon Data Capture solutions is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with CPM solutions (e.g., Board) is a plus, with full training provided.
