At Christine Avenue in Wellington, we provide quality care and support to 4 adults within a beautiful supported living setting. Our mission is to provide a safe, homely environment where individuals can live happily. Our dedicated team provides person-centered care and support that meets the tenant's unique needs and preferences.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to lead a team of dedicated workers in achieving positive outcomes for our tenants. This will include providing dignified care and support with personal care needs, promoting inclusion by organizing meaningful activities and events, and helping to coordinate and deliver individual packages of care and support.
Your Responsibilities as a Senior Support Worker:- Provide dignified and respectful care and support to assist with personal care needs.
- Encourage and support individuals to learn new skills, increasing their independence and self-esteem.
- Support individuals in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which may include making and attending health appointments.
- Assist the Registered Manager in completing essential documents, including support plans, risk assessments, training records, and more.
- Share responsibility for coaching and deploying staff and managing rotas.
- Liaise with family members, professionals, and commissioners.
- Demonstrate willingness to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
You must be well-organized and conscientious. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. You will be required to work directly on a rota, undertaking early, late, and weekend duties as required. Senior Support Workers are expected to participate in a local on-call rota.
