In the UK, a key market for JDE, we are focused on driving growth and enhancing our premium offerings, particularly through brands like Tassimo, Kenco, L'OR, and Douwe Egberts.
Role Overview
In the capacity of Strategic National Account Executive, you will be instrumental in fostering relationships with key Convenience and Wholesale partners, including major retailers. Your primary objective will be to strengthen our commercial alliances to unlock future growth avenues. This role is dynamic and requires adept management of significant strategic accounts, ensuring alignment between external requirements and internal support from diverse teams across categories, shopper marketing, and supply chain. You will engage with leadership across the UK and Europe, overseeing the comprehensive account management lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieving customer Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Profit & Loss (P&L) targets, including volume, Net Sales Value (NSV), Gross Profit (GP), and GP percentage.
- Managing pricing strategies, promotional activities, negotiations, and account planning for assigned accounts.
- Building robust customer relationships and integrating their strategies within JDE.
- Gaining insights into category, market, customer, and consumer trends.
- Negotiating new product placements and expanding distribution for existing offerings.
- Effectively assessing promotional strategies.
- Leading internal business planning and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Leveraging internal resources to achieve impactful outcomes.
Qualifications:
Essential Experience and Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience as an Account Executive or Manager within the UK retail FMCG sector, preferably with exposure to Value & Convenience market segments.
- Strong organizational capabilities and collaborative skills to implement tailored customer strategies.
- Proven track record in NSV growth and a commitment to ongoing development.
- Strategic mindset, skilled in cultivating internal networks and cross-functional partnerships.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, data constraints, and complex customer interactions.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent).
