Role Overview

In the capacity of Strategic National Account Executive, you will be instrumental in cultivating and managing relationships with key Convenience and Wholesale partners. Your primary goal will be to strengthen our commercial alliances, paving the way for future growth. This role demands a proactive approach to managing pivotal strategic accounts while ensuring alignment between external requirements and internal support from diverse teams, including categories, shopper marketing, and supply chain. You will engage with leadership across the UK and Europe, overseeing comprehensive account management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of customer Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Profit & Loss (P&L), including set targets for volume, Net Sales Value (NSV), Gross Profit (GP), and GP percentage.
  • Management of pricing strategies, promotional activities, negotiations, and account planning.
  • Fostering robust customer relationships and integrating customer strategies within Jacobs Douwe Egberts.
  • Analyzing category, market, customer, and consumer trends.
  • Negotiating new product placements and expanding distribution for existing offerings.
  • Effectively assessing promotional initiatives.
  • Leading internal business planning and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Leveraging internal resources to achieve impactful outcomes.

Qualifications:

Essential Experience and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Account Executive or Manager within the UK retail FMCG sector, particularly with Value & Convenience customers.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and a collaborative mindset to implement tailored customer strategies.
  • Proven track record in NSV growth and a commitment to ongoing development.
  • Strategic insight with a talent for building internal networks and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, data constraints, and complex customer interactions.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
