Overview of Your Role

In the capacity of Key Account Manager, you will hold the primary responsibility for overseeing and nurturing the relationships with major clients such as Morrisons and Co-op. Your objective will be to meet financial targets and key performance indicators while enhancing our brand presence and delivering exceptional value to our partners. You will play a crucial role in building strong stakeholder relationships, devising strategic plans, and implementing solutions to unlock and seize business growth opportunities. In addition to managing the current customer portfolio, you will actively pursue new clientele and introduce them to the extensive range of products offered by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee commercial and financial KPIs, ensuring full profit and loss accountability for accounts, driving growth through increased profitable throughput, and accurately forecasting volume, value, gross margin, and account budgets within agreed timelines. Cultivate all facets of the customer relationship, from identifying new growth opportunities to managing ongoing product listings. Collaborate with senior account managers to develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBP) with customers. Manage, nurture, and develop existing customer relationships in alignment with commercial objectives. Create and proactively manage 12-24 month rolling promotional plans, keeping account objectives in focus and engaging all relevant stakeholders in the process. Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with strategic goals. Execute and promote new product launches to maximize brand visibility online and through digital channels. Develop and maintain best-in-class execution within applicable sites. Negotiate with a diverse set of customers and channels to drive business growth that aligns with overarching company objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize product ranges throughout the planning cycle, advocating for your account needs. Work alongside peers across the organization to contribute to the broader business growth. Drive best practices in stock and sales forecasting, as well as service and availability management. Implement a regular face-to-face account contact strategy to develop and sustain a value-added approach (weekly or bi-weekly meetings as needed). Utilize store visits and web analysis of the retail landscape to identify and explore sales optimization opportunities. Be a collaborative team player, demonstrating flexibility to support additional duties as necessary to fulfill the role effectively. Maintain accurate account information to meet internal reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience in account management across the full cycle. Demonstrated strategic development and hands-on management of accounts. Track record of successfully growing accounts and delivering results. Strong background in commercial account management. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with omni-channel strategies. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.
