Equity Hedge Fund Trade Support Role

Martis Search is representing a boutique Mayfair-based Hedge Fund start-up to hire a temporary Equity Hedge Fund Trade Support professional. The company plans to launch in the next two months, making it an exciting opportunity to join the business.

The Hedge Fund invests in Equity Long/Short strategies, and the role sits on their Trading Floor next to the Front Office Investment team. You will work closely with and partner with their Head of Operations/COO, requiring a proven track record working within a small Hedge Fund in a senior Equity Trade Support role.

The Hedge Fund uses Enfusion as their Order Management System (OMS), so having knowledge of Enfusion is highly advantageous, but not mandatory. Additionally, any working experience in Compliance or Disclosure Reporting will catch the Head of Operations/COO's attention.

Due to the fund launch, our client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible, initially as a temp, with the strong possibility for permanent or extension. The role reports into and works closely with their highly experienced Head of Operations/COO, who will provide full on-the-job training.

You must have a minimum of two years of Equity Hedge Fund Trade Support background, preferably from an Institutional Hedge Fund or boutique Asset Management background. The asset classes they trade are Global Cash Equities, CFDs, Futures, and Options, and FX.

Please note that this is a growth business with a close-knit working relationship between team members. Due to the Hedge Fund launch, our client's policy is for everyone to be in the office five days a week, with no flexibility.

You will be involved in the full Trade-Life Cycle and Investment Operations responsibilities, as well as related project management and change experience, including:

  • The full Equity trade-life cycle, including Trade Matching/Trade processing/Trade Support, Settlement queries, Corporate Actions, and working with NAVs/Valuations.
  • Liaising with 3rd-party Outsourced Operations Administrators (Enfusion), Prime Brokers, and counterparties.
  • Understanding of the FCA regulatory framework investment compliance and UCITS fund regulations, as well as Disclosure Reporting.
  • Experience of Buyside Order Management Systems/Portfolio Management Systems with a preference for Enfusion or a similar Hedge Fund OMS.

Compensation

The daily rate equivalent is between £60,000-£85,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with the possibility of higher compensation.
