Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive fundraising professional to join our busy Development team. The Senior Philanthropy Manager will hold key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working across a broad portfolio of donors, prospective donors, Trustees, and senior Barbican staff. This role will make a significant contribution to the Barbican's ambitious income targets, with a focus on five and six-figure gifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the major donor strategy and deliver it successfully in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development.
  • Expand our networks of support and tap into the Barbican's rich and varied programme to create new opportunities for philanthropists to engage with our work.
  • Solicit gifts personally and support senior stakeholders to be effective fundraisers.
  • Work strategically and deliver against targets, with a natural and engaging approach to relationship building.

  • Extensive experience managing relationships with donors and delivering against targets.
