About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Treatment Planning
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Group Treatment Facilitation
    • Facilitate group treatment programs using a cognitive behavioral approach, including mindfulness and self-compassion.
  • Individual Therapeutic Interventions
    • Provide individual therapeutic interventions to support group work and promote patient well-being.
  • Supervision and Training
    • Participate in regular clinical, professional, and managerial supervision to ensure high-quality care and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Experience working in adult mental health and group work is essential.
  • Skills
    • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
    • Ability to facilitate group treatment programs and provide individual therapeutic interventions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
