**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Solicitor to join our team at Young Legal Aid Lawyers. As a specialist in Court of Protection, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in mental health-related matters.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Meet the LAA supervisor requirements for the Mental Health legal aid contract
  • Provide expert knowledge and experience across a range of MH casework, including tribunal representation
  • Develop and implement team-wide processes, procedures, and precedents that are compliant with our various obligations
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of training programs on mental health and mental capacity law issues

**Requirements**

  • Relevant professional experience and qualifications in Mental Health law
  • Strong knowledge and experience of mental capacity and Court of Protection proceedings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
