We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Liaison Nurse to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Liaison team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients experiencing mental health problems in an acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and advise on the management of patients presenting in A&E with self-harm and mental health difficulties.
- Provide mental health assessment and advice on the management of patients with mental health issues who are admitted to other wards at the hospital.
- Assess and support people in crisis across the Urgent Care pathway, including the Haven.
- Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role.
- Child and Adult safeguarding procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to enhance care through evidence-based knowledge.
- Demonstrate professional development relevant to the care group.
- Demonstrate ability to assess and manage clinical risk.
