Position Overview

The Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Estates & Facilities Compliance Manager and operational teams, ensuring the effective execution of the Estates service strategy and objectives. This position involves conducting audits and offering guidance to staff to promote adherence to ethical and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide proactive assistance to the Compliance Manager.

2. Aid the Compliance Manager in the timely and accurate submission of Trust and NHS reports.

3. Monitor and report on compliance with statutory regulations, NHS guidelines, and best practices within Estates & Facilities.

4. Maintain comprehensive records and support audits related to Estates & Facilities, including Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessments, NHS Premises Assurance Model (PAM), Patient-Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE), and compliance with HTM_00 and Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO 9001.

5. Act as a liaison for external regulatory bodies, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation.

6. Ensure the maintenance of integrated and robust information management systems and records.

7. Contribute to compliance and performance evaluations at other Trusts.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • IOSH / NEBOSH certification
  • Experience in a Compliance role
  • Familiarity with the Premises Assurance Model (PAM)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of HealthRoster
  • NEBOSH Fire or Construction certification
