Opportunity for a Mid-Senior Level Commercial Lawyer

Marsden is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, with experience in the TMT sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Review of Commercial Agreements: The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing technology, procurement, and supplier agreements, ensuring they meet the company's needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiation of Complex Contracts: The candidate will negotiate complex, high-value B2B contracts, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Advisory Role: The Commercial Lawyer will provide expert advice on related legal matters to the business, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: The successful candidate will work closely with the wider legal team and internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • BAU and Project-Based Work: The candidate will support on a range of business-as-usual and project-based work, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience as a guide, with a strong background in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Technical Skills: The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in commercial contract drafting, with experience in the TMT sector.
  • Workload Management: The candidate will be able to manage their own workload as part of a busy team, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
