Role Overview

The Financial Controller will serve as a vital partner across all business sectors, providing financial insights and challenging the organization to enhance performance.

The primary focus will be on developing and maintaining exemplary systems, processes, and policies in finance, tax, and treasury to ensure that management information is of the highest quality, facilitating informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of all financial activities at Porsche Cars GB.
  • Mitigate financial risks while ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
  • Supervise the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing business performance to drive improvements.
  • Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, and tax risk controls.
  • Act as the Senior Accounting Officer as mandated by the Finance Act 2009.
  • Oversee treasury functions, cash flow management, and banking operations.
  • Coordinate external audits and prepare statutory accounts.
  • Provide strategic financial advice on new projects and initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Act as a deputy for the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Organize the Credit Committee to ensure the stability of business partnerships.
  • Participate in the defined contribution pension monitoring committee.
  • Facilitate the ECOS Residual Value Committee.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within Porsche Cars GB, Porsche Retail Group, and Porsche AG, as well as external auditors and tax authorities.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a solid academic foundation, ideally holding a degree in finance or accounting, and be a qualified accountant (FCA or equivalent). A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, particularly in a managerial role, is essential. Familiarity with SAP and business intelligence software is advantageous.
