Finance Operations Manager

Position OverviewThe Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in collaborating with various business sectors, providing financial insights and guidance.
The primary objective is to establish and uphold best practices in finance, taxation, and treasury management, ensuring that decisions are informed by accurate and timely data.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage all financial operations at Porsche Cars GB Ltd.
- Mitigate financial risks while ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
- Supervise the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop budgets and forecasts, analyzing performance metrics to drive business success.
- Manage tax compliance and statutory reporting, addressing tax risks and controls.
- Act as the Senior Accounting Officer as mandated by the Finance Act 2009.
- Oversee treasury management, cash flow, and banking operations.
- Coordinate external audits and prepare statutory financial statements.
- Advise on financial and tax implications for new strategic initiatives.
- Lead, direct, and mentor the finance team.
- Act as a deputy for the Chief Financial Officer.
- Facilitate the Credit Committee's activities to ensure credit stability.
- Participate in the defined contribution pension monitoring committee.
- Organize the ECOS Residual Value Committee.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal teams at Porsche Cars GB, Porsche Retail Group, and Porsche AG, as well as external auditors and regulatory bodies.
The Ideal Candidate:The successful candidate will possess a strong academic foundation, ideally holding a degree in finance or accounting, along with a recognized accounting qualification (FCA or equivalent). A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, particularly in a managerial capacity, is essential. Familiarity with SAP and business intelligence software is advantageous.
