About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Michael Page Scotland. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, growing, and closing deals with new and existing clients in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve annual targets and grow the business in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team and liaise with cross-functional internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Record all activities in the CRM and utilize it as the primary working tool.
  • Grow, manage, and own your pipeline in accordance with company growth strategy and targets.
  • Meet and exceed agreed annual targets.
  • Attend and present at industry events to promote our services and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Compile demos, pitches, bids, and proposals to showcase our expertise and solutions.
  • Continually develop knowledge within the Scotland and Northern Ireland markets, including technology, clients, competition, and policies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable flair for communication and relationship building.
  • Experience working with local authorities and understanding of local authority buying processes.
  • Experience within the highways, transport, and traffic sectors (desirable but not essential).
  • Drive for achievement and a track record of hitting sales targets.
  • Comfortable working with technology-based solutions.
  • Knowledge on how to build relationships with a highly technical audience.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary package of £35,000 - £45,000, plus a company car allowance and bonus scheme of circa 15% salary.
  • The business is open to implementing an individual bonus scheme for this role in favor of the company scheme, and are open to discussing this with prospective candidates.
