At Long-Term Teachers Ltd, we are collaborating with a special educational institution seeking a dedicated educator to provide consistent cover teaching assistance. This role involves leading pre-arranged lessons across various age groups and educational needs.

This exceptional institution caters to a diverse range of special needs and disabilities, including Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Complex Needs, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Due to the institution's size, they frequently require cover support and are looking for an individual who can offer regular assistance.

Position Overview

This position can be either full-time or part-time, with a preference for full-time availability; however, strong applications from part-time educators are also welcomed. There is no requirement for lesson planning or marking, as you will be responsible for leading pre-arranged lessons.

It is essential that candidates have experience working in a special educational setting. While holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, substantial teaching experience in a school environment will also be considered.

  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, which are crucial for this role.
  • Possess experience working with special needs and disabilities.
  • Exhibit confidence in leading groups of SEND students.
  • Collaborate closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to enhance your skill set.
