At Long-Term Teachers Ltd, we are collaborating with a specialized educational institution seeking a dedicated educator to provide consistent cover teaching assistance. The successful candidate will lead pre-planned lessons tailored for various age groups and learning requirements.

This esteemed institution caters to a diverse array of special needs and disabilities, including Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Complex Needs, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Due to the nature of the school, there is a continual need for cover in their classrooms, and they are eager to find someone who can offer regular support.

Position Overview

This opportunity can be either full-time or part-time, with a preference for candidates available full-time. However, strong applications from part-time educators are also welcomed. The role involves no lesson planning or marking, as you will be responsible for leading pre-prepared lessons.

It is essential that candidates have experience working in a specialized educational setting. While holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, substantial teaching experience in a school environment will also be taken into account.

  • Possess experience working with students with special needs and disabilities.
  • Exhibit confidence in managing groups of SEND students.
  • Collaborate closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to enhance your professional skills.
