At Long-Term Teachers Ltd, we are collaborating with a specialized educational institution seeking a dedicated educator to provide consistent cover teaching assistance. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding pre-arranged lessons across various age groups and educational needs.

This exceptional institution caters to a diverse range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Complex Needs, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Due to the school's size, they frequently require cover support and are looking for an individual who can regularly assist.

Position Overview

This role offers flexibility, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time engagement. While full-time availability is preferred, we welcome applications from qualified part-time educators. Notably, this position involves no lesson planning or grading, as you will be leading established lessons.

It is essential that candidates possess experience in a specialized educational setting. While holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is advantageous, substantial teaching experience in a school environment will also be considered.

  • Exhibit experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Show confidence in managing groups of SEND students.
  • Collaborate closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to enhance your professional skills.
