Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Applications Engineer specializing in Rental and Rapid Response to enhance our team at Zeeco Europe Ltd. This position is pivotal in addressing customer inquiries, crafting technical and commercial proposals, and participating in site meetings to clarify equipment specifications and client needs. You will work in close collaboration with our European offices, external partners, and our headquarters in the USA to achieve business objectives and foster growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Design: Conduct process design to identify suitable combustion equipment that aligns with client specifications.
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop precise technical and commercial proposals for rental equipment and rapid response flare initiatives, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Grasp scheduling and scope of work necessities to produce effective turnover documentation and facilitate project advancement.
  • Client Interaction: Follow up on potential leads, advocate for the Rentals division across the EMEA region, and engage with clients through technical and commercial discussions.
  • Documentation Management: Draft, revise, and prepare formal quotations, and maintain communication with clients throughout all stages of the process.
  • On-site Assistance: Travel to client locations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, often on short notice, to support marketing initiatives and provide technical/commercial insights.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Engineering Background: A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with experience in the process or oil and gas sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in combustion engineering or related fields, or a blend of education and practical experience.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and possessing strong technical knowledge of the industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Excel, Word, and preferably familiar with Sage accounting software.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with strong presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of making independent decisions.
  • Team Collaboration: Effectively works within a team while demonstrating confidence and assertiveness under pressure.
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable working at heights and willing to travel internationally as needed.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Zeeco Europe facility.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license and access to personal transportation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
